Digital Imaging Technicians and Data Managers are essential crew members who aggregate, download and process all files from cameras, sound and other recording devices. Onset, they are the first person to review camera and sound media after recording. In addition to managing files, DIT’s often play a critical role in building the show’s on-set look with the Director of Photography. As digital media production evolves, so does the role of the DIT.

Join Jane Fleck at Canon Burbank as she discusses the evolving role and responsibilities of the DIT. With an overviews of the DIT, Data Manager and Assistant Editor’s responsibilities, including data management, syncing sound, creating on-set dailies, and color correction, with special emphasis on how the Canon eco-system supports the role of the DIT
